I have read carefully these reports in their provisional form and I have no hesitation in saying that they appear to me to be "documents of the highest value. They certainly hold their own with
anything that has been published as regards the naterial resources of Tropical Africa. They form what may be termed a geographical and agricultural reconnaisence which is full of promise as o the agricultural and other resources of the provinces traversed. The whole mission has been carried out with indomitable pluck and in the face of much hardship. I must confess I am proud to have been W able to read the record of such excellent work by a Kew-trained

Mr Dave has succeeded in aking botanical collections of the highest interest.These are now being examined with the aid of the Iew staff, in order that the results may be incorporated in the " final report".
